A woman whose tire came off her vehicle was killed when she crossed M51 to retrieve the tire, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office. Around 7 a.m. Thursday, first responders were called to M51 near Pucker Street for a vehicle crash. When they arrived, they found 56-year-old Veronica Gary lying in the roadway. She was transported to the hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. The investigation revealed Gary’s rear tire had come loose while she was traveling north on M-51. As she pulled off the roadway, the tire came off the car and rolled across the roadway.

JOSEPH, Mich. — A 36-year-old St. Joseph man was arrested in connection to possessing child sexually abusive material and computer crimes, according to a news release Monday. Alexander Paul-Ticknor Rendell was arrested Jan. 29 and has been charged with aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material. The investigation was initiated by the Fifth District Computer Crimes Unit in Coldwater when an individual was found to be downloading a large amount of child sexually abusive material. A search warrant was conducted at Rendell’s home and police seized digital evidence, as well as conducted an interview.

Ronnie Eugene Wiard, 49, was indicted for aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, child molestation, sexual battery against a child under 16, cruelty to children in the first degree, among other sex offenses. Joseph J. Christensen, 59, was indicted for child molestation.

JOSEPH, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Monday, the Michigan State Police (MSP) announced the arrest of a St. Joseph man for Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material and using a computer to commit a crime. The investigation was launched by the Fifth District Computer Crimes Unit in Coldwater when a suspect was found to be downloading a large amount of child sexually abusive material (CSAM). The suspect has been identified as 36-year-old Alexander Paul-Ticknor Rendell. A search warrant was conducted at Rendell’s residence and digital evidence was seized, and an interview with Rendell was conducted on scene. The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation and search warrant.
