Now, they turn their attention to a bigger goal. Berryville will face Hope at 4 p.m. Thursday in the first round of the Class 4A boys state soccer tournament on Thursday in Harrison. Berryville enters the tournament as a No. 2 seed after losing the district tournament championship to Clarksville by a score of 2-1 in double overtime on Thursday, May 6.

So we’re just taking it one game at a time. They’ve been doing a great job of understanding what’s at stake. They’re just they’re really focused and they’re really locked in right now.”

After holding Green Forest scoreless in the top of the first inning, the Bobcats took the lead for good on Chris Hipps’ RBI single that scored Tanner Rosales in the bottom of the inning. Berryville made it 3-0 in the second on RBI singles by Rosales and Jarrett Stringer. Rosales drove in Dominic Henry, then came around to score on Stringer’s hit. Green Forest scored its only run in the top of the third when Reiley Gordon’s RBI single brought home Barrett Phillips.

Tuesday, April 20, 2021 The Berryville Bobcats are hoping to force a three-way tie for the 4A-West conference championship. They did their part by recording two wins last week — beating Dardanelle 3-0 and Gentry 8-2. “Going in, we knew Dardanelle was going to be be pretty big with with conference seedings and everything,” Berryville coach Bryce Moorman said. “Our kids did a great job understanding that as well. We we just took care of business. Our kids played great on the back half. We were able to get some goals that put them (Dardanelle) under some pressure. Our kids played loose, they played enthusiastic. It was awesome watching them do that.”
