The State government has been informed that ONGC and MRPL will come up with oxygen plants in Belagavi, Haveri, Gadag, Uttara Kannada and Ballari districts. “We have requested the Union government to direct ONGC to set up a similar plant in Bagalkot also,” he said at a meeting of officers and legislators at the government guesthouse. He asked Deputy Commissioner K. Harish Kumar to send a detailed report after identifying a suitable place for the plant in Belagavi district.

They pointed out that a Government Order that revised their basic salaries in 2019 has not been implemented. This order said that all contract employees should get salary equal to basic salary given to a permanent employee. This needs to be implemented immediately, they said.

They can hear Public grievances and issue orders to rectify anomalies in logistics supply. The officers in charge are Additional Deputy Commissioner Y. Yogeshwar for Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) that has the most patients and Belagavi City Corporation Commissioner K.H. Jagadish for all other hospitals.
