Races for Select Board and School Committee on Belchertown municipal election ballot

BELCHERTOWN – There are contests for School Committee and Select Board on the municipal election ballot. The election is scheduled for May 17; the last day to register to vote is April 27.
Incumbent Select Board members Gail L. Gramarossa and Nicholas J. O’Connor are not seeking reelection. The three candidates running for the two open board seats are George Archible, Ronald Aponte and Nicholas Pucel.
For Belchertown School Committee, incumbent Joshua Wallace is not seeking reelection. The Four are on the ballot for two school board seats are incumbent Ruby Bansal, Amy Lamothe, Sean Lavalley and Jonathan Ritter.

With Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System test dates approaching, a group of students in Belchertown is making it their mission to let fellow students know they can opt-out of the test.

Two Belchertown High School student-athletes recently took the next step in their athletic careers by committing to play collegiate athletics.
Coaches at the school lauded the Belchertown athletic experience, helping both student-athletes find great success after their high school seasons came to an end.
