Most people driving on I-85 in Belmont can see the progress being made on CaroMont Health s planned new hospital.
There are logging trucks and trees coming out on land adjacent to Belmont Abbey College where CaroMont Health will build a hospital that should be seeing its first patients by July 2023 - just more than two years away.
Signs along the interstate tout not just the hospital, but also the connection it will have with Belmont Abbey College.
The college made the land available for the hospital to be built, and started a nursing department in anticipation of partnering with the new hospital, which will be named CaroMont Regional Medical Center - Belmont.
