It marked the second time he was investigated and put on administrative leave within the past eight months.  Last summer, a complaint was sent to Pacific Grove Police Chief Cathy Madalone concerning stickers on the officer s personal truck. (The department is not naming the officer because of a law that protects his privacy). The truck was parked in public view at the police department.   A photo of the police officer s truck at the time the complaint was filed. A Northern California police officer who posted “disparaging” comments on a social media platform is no longer with the department, the police chief said. Pacific Grove Police Chief Cathy Madalone said in a video posted Wednesday on the department’s YouTube channel the officer is no longer employed by the department but that legal constraints prevented her from commenting on a personnel matter, KTLA reported. Madalone said the department received a report in November that the officer, who has not been identified, may have been posting disparaging remarks on a social media account, KTLA reported.

A Northern California police officer is no longer employed by his department after posting disparaging comments about the Black Lives Matter movement on social media. Pacific Grove Police Chief Cathy Madalone said in a six-minute video posted to the department’s YouTube channel on Wednesday that the officer who made the comments on the right-wing social media platform in November is “no longer employed by the city of Pacific Grove in any capacity.” Madalone said she couldn’t provide more information about the matter due to “legal constraints.” Late last year the chief said the post in question said “F–k Black Lives Matter.” Pending the investigation, the officer was placed on leave at that time.
