A second small earthquake has struck the Carnation area in Washington State, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.

The earthquake this morning comes after a small quake yesterday of magnitude 2.2.
Key Details
This more recent earthquake occurred this morning at 6:36 AM and registered a magnitude of 3.0.
The center of the tremor was 4 miles east of Carnation with a depth around 12 miles.
The quake could be felt as far away as the southern part of the town of Everett over 20 miles away.

Second small earthquake near Carnation is the 4th PNW earthquake in 2 days

A stronger 5.7-magnitude quake also struck off the Oregon coast early Tuesday.
According to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network, a 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Carnation about 6:30 a.m., roughly 18 hours after a 2.2-magnitude earthquake was also reported near Carnation.
The Oregon coast earthquake, which struck about 127 miles west of Bandon, happened at 4:50 a.m.
The Northwest National Tsunami Warning Center in Palmer, Alaska, said no tsunamis are expected.
The federal agency received 88 responses from people who said they felt the quake, but said little or no area was affected and no people were exposed to danger.

A small earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 was reported near Carnation on Tuesday morning, one day after a smaller magnitude 2.2 quake was reported in the same location on Monday, according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network.
Tuesday’s quake, about four miles from Carnation, occurred around 6:30 a.m. The two earthquakes near Carnation make three small quakes reported in two days in Washington state. A magnitude 2.9 earthquake was recorded about four miles from Monroe on Monday.
Monday’s quake near Carnation was recorded shortly after noon, the seismic network reported. The Monroe quake was recorded at 2:41 a.m. Monday.
