Lucas Big Daddy Browne was the $1.51 favourite to dispose of Paul G-Train Gallen, but the Cronulla Sharks NRL premiership winner in 2016 made a significant statement in under two minutes.
The action began at 10.45pm and in sensational scenes, Gallen knocked Browne to the canvas twice in the first round before the referee ended the fight.
The former NRL star dropped Browne in less than 60 seconds when he landed a vicious left hand to Browne s temple.

In what many felt was a shocking outcome, Paul Gallen secured the biggest victory of his boxing career, when he crushed the far more experienced Lucas Browne with a first round knockout.
Very early in the round, Gallen dropped the former WBA heavyweight champion with a hard left hand.
Browne was able to get back to his feet, but it was simply the beginning of the end.
He was quickly caught against the ropes and dropped for a second time from a series of follow-up punches.

Browne has a sizeable physical advantage over the former Sharks skipper, standing 17cm taller than Gallen and exhibiting a huge 18cm reach advantage.
