Human trafficking bust nets 64 arrests The Turlock Police Department took part in the statewide Operation Rebuild and Reclaim that resulted in 64 arrests for human trafficking and other offenses. In total, the statewide operation, which was conducted over seven days, led to the arrest of 450 individuals and the rescue of 39 victims, including 13 minors. In Stanislaus County the operation was conducted Jan. 28 and Jan. 29. The Turlock Special Investigations Unit made 13 of the 64 arrests. One arrest was of a man who solicited an undercover officer who was posing as an underage female for sexual acts. Another arrest was made of a man for sex crimes, weapon violations and illegal narcotics sales after he was found in possession of two firearms and a large amount of illegal narcotics.

Man accused of using fake police lights to beat traffic • Turlock man, 34, charged The Patterson Police Department confiscated the grill of a truck that had illegal emergency responder flashing lights attached to it as evidence. A Turlock man’s attempt to get around traffic by pretending to be law enforcement came to an ironic end when he encountered real law enforcement in the traffic line. The suspect, Brian Hoar, 34, of Turlock, was arrested on suspicion of impersonating a peace officer and reckless driving. The incident began around 4 p.m. Monday in a long traffic line at W. Main Street and Carpenter Road southwest of Ceres.
