Sixth Street Partners brings on new partner as vice chairman
R. Martin Chavez was named vice chairman and partner at money manager Sixth Street Partners.
He began the new role on May 1 and will help lead various strategic initiatives at Sixth Street including enhancing the firm s digital capabilities, spokesman Patrick Clifford said in an email.
Mr. Chavez, who has served as a senior adviser since January, had been executive vice president and chief financial officer at Goldman Sachs before retiring in 2019.
Sixth Street Partners has more than $50 billion in assets under management.

Sixth Street Specialty Lending, Inc. (NYSE:TSLX) (“TSLX” or the “Company”) announced today that it has launched a public offering of 4,000,000 shares of its common stock. TSLX also plans to grant the underwriters for the offering an option to purchase up to an additional 600,000 shares of its common stock. The offering will be made pursuant to a registration statement, which has been filed with, and declared effective by, the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”). The completion of the proposed offering depends upon several factors, including market and other conditions.
