One of my favorite things about
His Dark Materials is how it starts off as a fun children’s fantasy with an occasional smattering of theological rage and despair, before it goes full-tilt “If God exists, why don’t we kill him?” “Æsahættr,” the finale of the extremely successful second season of
His Dark Materials, is all about that turning point. After a rousing penultimate episode last week,
His Dark Materials delivers on revelations and fateful meetings with the season 2 finale, which marks the beginning of the end of this grand story.

Star Wars fans immediately began to wonder if the first and most famous Mandalorian in
Star Wars, Boba Fett, would end up part of the story. While we were initially told that would not be the case, it would seem that you cannot keep a good bounty hunter down, and Boba Fett became a big part of the show s second season. It was great to see Boba back in his Mandalorian armor, but fans that know him well likely realized that he wasn t quite back to all his former glory, as there were a couple elements of the original costume that are missing now.
Jeremy Bulloch, who has died aged 75, enjoyed a career on the stage and screen lasting 60 years, but was best known for his brief but iconic role as the enigmatic bounty hunter Boba Fett in the original Star Wars films.
Bulloch got the part when his half-brother Robert Watts, an associate producer on The Empire Strikes Back (1980), was tasked with finding someone who could fit into Fett s costume. He thought of Bulloch, whose athletic build helped him support the weight of the character s armour and battered helmet. I got into the costume and I put the helmet on, Bulloch recalled. There were lots of little gadgets and knee pads and the boots had two little jets on the toes. I thought: This looks rather good! There was a jet pack, too.
