The reconstruction of the I-94 corridor from 70th Street to 16th street in Milwaukee, proposed as part of Governor
Tony Evers’ 2021-2023 budget, is a project with significant long-lasting regional impact. It’s a once-in-a-generation opportunity to improve safety and efficiency along this critical corridor. We must ensure that this project is a true economic win, one that both improves the roadway, makes safety upgrades and builds capacity for current and future users, and one that expands multiple transportation modes, including fixed route transit, rideshare services, shuttles, and better conditions for biking and walking. We must act swiftly, and boldly, to achieve a multimodal regional transportation system that allows our region to compete globally.

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Auto-rickshaw Drivers Union on Monday staged demonstration to protest against the imposition of fines, arrests and harassment and ban on their movement on the roads with the Bus Rapid Transit corridor.
They gathered on the City Circular Road near Sar Aasiya Gate and chanted slogans against the government decision. Led by the union president Baz Mohammad, vice-president Syed Younis and others, the protestors asked the government to immediately open GT Road for them and take practical steps for the solution to their problems.
The speakers warned the government to withdraw the ban on their movement within one day or else they would launch a protest movement. The protesters said they would expand the protest if their demands were not accepted.

Eagle Rock The Beautiful Boulevard proposal, as lovely as it may sound, is causing a rift among some Eagle Rock residents and business owners.
A neighborhood group composed of volunteers from the area created the plan to preserve the small town character of the community in light of Metroâs Bus Rapid Transit project, spanning 18 miles from North Hollywood to Pasadena â and going right through Eagle Rock.
According to Michael Sweeney, an architect who volunteered his professional skills to the development of the proposal, the goal of the Eagle Rock volunteers was to refine the design and conceptual approach of Metroâs project. They analyzed what Metro had proposed, then modified it in a way that would preserve the feel of the town while also prioritizing safety along the boulevard.

Controversial BRT Plans Revised in Los Angeles
The proposed changes to plans for a bus rapid transit route on Colorado Boulevard are an attempt to compromise between competing community concerns. April 6, 2021, 8am PDT | Diana Ionescu |
LONDON, ONT. The signs of spring are all around with warmer weather, flowers blooming, birds chirping, and the return of construction projects. Yes, the season of construction is upon us once again, and this year it will see one of the City’s most talked about (and debated) initiatives finally break ground. Phase one of the Downtown Loop of London’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) plan is set to begin. Last week CTV News reported on the final use of the King Street bike lane through the downtown corridor as crews prepared to shut it down for construction. The City’s BRT plan has undergone several changes over the years and was greatly scaled back from the original vision.
