The Pavers Foundation chose Shout 85258, which provides a messaging service for anyone in the UK and Ireland who needs mental health support, as their charity of the year. Mark Granger, chairman of the foundation, said: "We are delighted to be able to support the incredible work Shout 85258 does in making a difference to so many people.

York foundation hands £2,000 cash boost to homeless charity

A FOUNDATION in York has handed a £2,000 cash boost to a local charity which supports the homeless and vulnerable in the city. The Pavers Foundation has supported the charity Kitchen for Everyone (KEY) following a grant application from recently retired financial director, Mike Carrick. The grant was submitted through the Foundation’s employee grant scheme which invites colleagues across the entire business to nominate charities and causes close to their hearts. Mr Carrick was inspired to apply for funding for the charity who provide food, drink and shelter to some of the most vulnerable people in the York area as his wife Debbie had volunteered for many years with the charity, which has been active in the city for seven years.

Evesham schoolgirl helps to raise more than £1,000 for eating disorder charity

A SCHOOLGIRL from Evesham has helped to raise £1,600 for an eating disorder charity. Hannah Sagar, who is currently in her final year at Prince Henry’s school in Evesham, was compelled to start fundraising for Beat, the UK’s leading eating disorder charity, after suffering a disorder herself and being hospitalised for seven months in 2018. Hannah launched her own handmade jewellery line, named ‘Feed Beads’, during the initial Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 in order to raise money for the charity. She also had a grant application accepted meaning a £700 donation to Beat was made from The Pavers Foundation - the charitable arm of Hannah's family-owned Evesham shoe retailer Pavers Ltd.
