Anonymous crime tips up 17 percent in Pikes Peak area COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) The Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers have seen a 17 percent increase in anonymous tips to report a crime in the first six months of 2021. Don Addy, Chairman of PPACS says this is partly due to the increasing crime rate across the country. “We’re receiving more tips than in the past on a variety of crimes, including wanted felons. We think this is a reflection of the increase in criminal activity taking place across the United States. And more of our tips are resulting in arrests, too. Addy said.
