5 jamaats to be held at Baitul Mukarram from 7am on Eid day

A handout issued yesterday by the mosque authorities revealed the schedule.
The first Eid jamaat will be held at 7:00am while the next four will be held at 8:00am, 9:00am, 10:00am, and 10:45am respectively.
The National Moon Sighting Committee will meet in the evening today to ascertain the date of Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of Muslims.
The Islamic Foundation issued a press release in this regard saying the meeting will be held at the foundation s Baitul Mukarram office after Maghrib prayers to review information on the sighting of Shawwal moon.

The decision was announced following a virtual meeting of the National Fitra Committee on Wednesday.
The meeting was led by committee President Hafez Maulana Muhammad Mizanur Rahman, a senior pesh imam at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
Fitra, also known as Zakat al-fitr or fitrana, is a form of compulsory charity that Muslims pay at the end of Ramadan.
