More walk-in first and second doses available at Redmond mass vaccination clinic REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) The Mass Vaccination Clinic at the Deschutes Fair & Expo Center will continue to offer walk-in COVID-19 vaccine appointments this week. “It was great to see so many people come out last weekend for our first walk-in hours and we’re excited to offer more walk-in times this week,” said Molly Wells-Darling, incident commander. “Walk-in appointments are an easy and convenient way to get your vaccine.”  First dose appointments First-dose walk-in appointments are available on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon and on Friday from 1 to 4 p.m.

First-dose appointments will only be offered at the Mass Vaccination Clinic through the end of next week. Operations will continue through the end of May to complete second-dose appointments. Residents can choose a convenient time and schedule a vaccine appointment directly by visiting www.centraloregoncovidvaccine. com. Pre-registration for vaccine appointments is no longer required. “This week, we’re on pace to administer our 100,000th dose at the Mass Vaccination Clinic,” said Molly Wells-Darling, Deputy Incident Commander. “With cases surging, getting your vaccine is an easy way to protect yourself, your loved ones and our community. If you haven’t been vaccinated yet, please schedule an appointment today.”

The first event of its kind in Oregon, the High School COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics project will reduce barriers to vaccine accessibility among our youth while building healthier communities worldwide. Beginning next week, youth 16 and older, one of the fastest-growing COVID-19 positive age groups in the state, will be able to receive their first vaccine – free – at school in Central Oregon.

Deschutes County to transition from Redmond mass vaccination clinic in coming weeks First-dose appointments only through May 7; shots provided by health care providers, pharmacies, clinics IBEND, Ore. (KTVZ) In May, Deschutes County will begin transitioning from the centralized mass vaccination clinic in Redmond to a distributive model, where COVID-19 vaccines are provided by community health care partners, officials said Friday.  First-dose appointments will only be offered at the Mass Vaccination Clinic through May 7. The clinic will continue operations at the Fair & Expo Center to complete second-dose appointments through the end of May. To date, 87,640 vaccines have been administered at the Mass Vaccination Clinic.
