2 dead in crash near Marshall

Updated: 7:23 AM CDT April 1, 2021 HARRISON COUNTY, Texas Two people are dead following a Wednesday afternoon crash in Harrison County. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, around 2 p.m., troopers responded to a crash on Pine Bluff Road, approximately four miles northeast of Marshall. The preliminary crash report indicates the driver of a car, identified as Garland Bernard Hill, 19, of Irving, was traveling south bound on Pine Bluff Rd. and was unable to navigate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle went off the road and struck a tree. Hill was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to a Marshall funeral home.

In a preliminary report from the Texas Department of public safety at 2:02 p.m. Troopers responded to a fatal crash on Pine Bluff Road, approximately four miles northeast of the city of Marshall in Harrison County. According to the report, the driver of a 2019 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on Pine Bluff Rd. and the driver was unable to navigate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle went off the road and struck a tree.
