TOMS RIVER - A judge on Thursday sentenced a 25-year-old Barnegat man to seven years in state prison in a drunken driving accident in Stafford last year that claimed the life of his passenger.
Superior Court Judge Linda G. Baxter imposed the prison term on Jeydon Lowe in an accident that claimed the life of Robert Parlin, 24, of Little Egg Harbor.
Authorities said Lowe was driving drunk and speeding on March 25, 2020, when he apparently lost control of his 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt on Stafford Avenue about 5:30 p.m. and crashed into a tree. The accident occurred near Hilliard Boulevard as Lowe was attempting to make a right-hand turn, authorities said.
