KUWAIT CITY, May 5: MP Osama Al- Shaheen forwarded queries to His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid about the rationale behind the decision issued on May 3, 2021 to prevent citizens from travelling abroad unless they are vaccinated against covid-19 even if their destination does not impose vaccination as an entry condition. He asked if any of the expatriate workers in the private sector were exempted from the provisions defined by the Higher Committee for addressing coronavirus crisis regarding their entry to Kuwait during the crisis.
He wants to know if the fourth batch of foreign medical teams got vaccinated before arriving in Kuwait, if the expatriate workers at the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs were vaccinated before entering the country, and if these workers were exempted from the travel regulations because the two ministries need their services. KUWAIT CITY, April 28: The Environment Public Authority (EPA) said it is fully committed to move the old and discarded vehicles tyres from the Rahiya dump to Al-Salmi where these tyres will be recycled and the area will be handed over to the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW). A reliable source told the Al-Seyassah daily, six companies are working nonstop for 12 hours a day to shift the tyres.
Deputy Director for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the EAP, who was present in the area of with members of the South Saad Al-Abdullah Voluntary Project Committee, to follow up the movement of tires from Rahiya to Salmi, said companies have submitted requests to remove tyres during the curfew period and that the issue is being considered by the EPA so that necessary permits can be obtained to get the job done faster. KUWAIT CITY, April 27: MPs Mehalhal Al-Mudaf and Muhannad Al-Sayer have submitted a proposal to relocate the expatriate bachelors living in Khaitan and then transform the place into a residential area exclusively for citizens. According to the proposal, contracting companies will be prevented from renting buildings in Khaitan for the accommodation of their expatriate workers. The two MPs suggested the accommodations of expatriate bachelors should be far from all the residential areas in the country.
