The website has not been updated since Tuesday, June 22. Officials said this was because state officials “reconciled” COVID-19 case data. Officials reviewed thousands of case files to ensure the published data accurately reflected the number of cases and other information. There were some questions as to why the dashboard had not been updated since last week,” said Kim Saruwatari, director of Public Health for Riverside County. “It was important the data we publish properly show what is happening with the pandemic and we wanted to provide the most accurate information.”
Palm Springs Convention Center vaccine clinic to close on Wednesday
The COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Palm Springs Convention Center will shut down on Wednesday, June 30, the county announced.
County spokesperson Jose Arballo Jr. wrote that the team operating this clinic will be converted into a mobile unit that will serve the Coachella Valley.
“The vaccine site at the Palm Springs Convention Center has been such a success and the staff working there has helped protect thousands of Coachella Valley residents,” said Kim Saruwatari, director of Public Health for Riverside County. “The conversion to a mobile team will allow Curative to continue to serve the residents in the area in a more focused and effective way.”
Riverside County anticipates to vaccinate 12-to-15-year-olds as early as Friday
During Tuesday s Board of Supervisors Meeting, Dr. Geoffry Leung, Public Health Officer for Riverside County, said that county anticipates to vaccinate 12 to 15 year olds as soon as Friday or early next week. Dr. Leung explained that they are waiting for national approval and the state s approval to move forward.

More than 5 million Americans did not get their second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines, according to a report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
It was the second shot Mikki Greiff had been waiting for. instead of relief she was turned away.
“I told her I had some reaction and right away she went to the head nurse in the facility and the next thing I know they been telling me you will not be getting the second shot, said Greiff.
Greiff said the nurse at the Indio Fairgrounds took her vaccination card and marked it with swelling and right here she says do not give.”
How long will the COVID vaccines protect you?
