Qatar will receive its first batch of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine on Monday, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani has announced on Twitter. “Under the directives of His Highness the Amir, the first shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine will arrive the day after tomorrow, and I have directed the health sector to provide it to everyone in accordance with our health standards,” the PM said on Saturday.
“This is an important step on the road to containing the epidemic and gradually returning life to normal,” the PM said, expressing pride in the success of the plan to confront the disease.

Doha: The first batch of Covid-19 vaccine will arrive in Qatar in the coming weekdays said a Ministry of Public Health official.
Dr Abdul-Wahab Al-Musleh, Advisor to the Minister of Public Health for Sports and Emergency Affairs, explained that the ministry expects the first batch of the Pfizer vaccine will be coming to Qatar before the end of this month.
Dr Al-Musleh said this while on a show with Alkass Channel yesterday, adding that priority will be given to the elderly and those with chronic diseases and to the frontline workers.
