The contest s theme was Communication in History: The Key to Understanding.
Sophomore Sophia Alleman placed first in the Senior Individual Documentary category with The Lady of the Lamp Illuminates the Need for Public Health Reform.
Senior Megan Brockway ranked first with her paper A Tactical Miscommunication: Operation Bodyguard.
Both advance to compete in the April 24 virtual state competition.
The Ohio History Connection, formerly the Ohio Historical Society, is a statewide history organization with a mission to spark discovery of Ohio s stories. Ohio History Day contests are open to students in grades six through 12.
