The IDF decided Saturday to reinforce the Iron Dome missile defense system located across southern Israel, after the communities close to the Gaza Strip border were pounded by dozens of rockets from the Palestinian enclave overnight.
A source in Jerusalem, meanwhile, warned that Israel will respond severely to rocket fire from Gaza.

Fayez, in an Arabic-language statement, claimed that Israel prevented residents from accessing the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, and called it a violation of Muslims freedom of worship. We are deeply concerned about the incidents of violence that occurred in Jerusalem over the last several days, said the U.S. Embassy in a statement also on Friday. We hope all responsible voices will promote an end to incitement, a return to calm, and respect for the safety and dignity of everyone in Jerusalem.

At the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, police decided that East Jerusalem residents should be prevented, at any cost, from sitting on the steps leading to the Old City’s Damascus Gate. They therefore closed off the area with police barriers. And they did so even though this is the most important public plaza in East Jerusalem, the Palestinian community’s main city square. The police provided no satisfactory explanation for this decision, and many East Jerusalem residents viewed the closure of the steps as one humiliation too many. Demonstrations began at Damascus Gate, and even though they were largely nonviolent police dispersed them forcibly. At the same time, an ugly practice began in which young Palestinians assaulted Jews in order to post videos of the attacks on social media.

Try to imagine people who are trying on a daily basis to convince us that the government has to give the power and money to the wealthy, to deny workers the ability to exercise political influence and to deny the poor support in order to push them into the hands of employers. These mantras of hate are foreign to most of us, but in Israeli there is an active multi-armed octopus that is spreading them. The head of the octopus is the Kohelet Economic Forum.
The forum was established in 2012 by academics and political entrepreneurs from various fields. The main group bankrolling the organization is run by two Jewish billionaires from Pennsylvania, along with smaller donors, American Jewish businessmen, who want to promote a policy of support for the wealthy and of preventing Israeli citizens from participating in decisions on the distribution of resources.
