Manchester physics student named latest Millman Scholar An undergraduate physics student at The University of Manchester has been named the latest Millman Scholar by the Materials Processing Institute. Billy Quartermain, of Redcar in the North East of England, is currently in his first year at Manchester and will receive a range of practical and academic support throughout his degree course. Offered by the Teesside-based Institute in conjunction with the Worshipful Company of Armourers and Brasiers, the scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving candidate from the Tees Valley region who is either planning to, or has already started, a materials or science-related degree.
