Gerardo Ramos has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Laredo Medical Center, effective February 1, 2021.
Ramos served Laredo Medical Center as Assistant Chief Executive Officer since May 2018, and before that, he was the Regional Director of Accountable Care Organizations Operations/VP of STCP ACO for Universal Health Services.
“In the time Gerardo has been with Laredo Medical Center, he has contributed significantly toward the growth and development of our organization,” said Jorge Leal, FACHE, CEO. “He has led key projects such as the oversight of a multi-million dollar extension of our hospital’s emergency services with our first free-standing emergency department, and the opening and accreditation of the LMC Sleep Center.
