Local authorities encouraged to trial four day working week

The Forsa Trade Union says people would be more motivated and productive if they worked a four day week.
It’s asking local authorities around the country to trial the shorter week.
The union then hopes it would move to companies in both the public and private sectors.
Fórsa campaign director, Joe O’Connor, believes a four day week would benefit the worker and the employer.
“The strong support for a four-day working week among Irish people is consistent with similar studies internationally.”
“What may once have seemed like a radical concept is now, for many, a reasonable and rational ambition,”
