A principal bench headed by NGT chairperson Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel on December 9 directed the chairman of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to take act against the erring officers of the PCC and remedial action immediately to ensure that the unit, whose activity falls under the ‘Green Category’, to start operations in the territory.
The NGT’s rap follows the PCC’s inaction in restarting the unit in Silvassa, despite three orders passed by the NGT since September 2019.
