Seniors will get help to make bookings for their Covid-19 jabs as the Government steps up its roll-out of the vaccine, said Education Minister Lawrence Wong.
Mr Wong, who co-chairs Singapore s multi-ministry task force tackling Covid-19, announced yesterday that the elderly will start receiving their shots from later this month.
Letters will be sent out to inform them when they can make bookings for their vaccinations.
Volunteers will be trained to help seniors make online bookings via a booking system, and information in different languages will be given out at Housing Board estates. This process will take a bit of time. So, we will also step up our outreach and engagement efforts, particularly to the elderly across all our HDB estates, to let them know what this is about. and also to help them with the booking because not everybody will be familiar with the IT system, Mr Wong said.

For many observers, the 2016 bilateral agreement between Malaysia and Singapore to construct a high-speed rail (HSR) link was a seminal moment in the neighbours history.
The pact was a capstone of sorts to the energetic efforts of Singapore s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his then-counterpart, Najib Razak, to overcome an acrimonious past that included disputes over everything from water supply to outcrops in the sea, airspace, and land that belonged to Malaysia before Singapore split off to become an independent nation.
Question marks over HSR Pix for representational purpose only.
PETALING JAYA: The government has been urged to come clean on the reasons behind the decision to cancel the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project.
Former Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M) president Datuk Seri Akhbar Satar expressed curiosity over the government’s apparent decision to hush up the matter, while Center to Combat Corruption and Cronyism (C4) president Cynthia Gabriel accused the government of failing to be transparent.
Both were commenting on the decision by Singapore to walk out of the HSR deal and the lack of details on the part of Malaysia over the disagreements that have led to the break.

SINGAPORE - A lamp post in Tuas that has become a beacon where cyclists leave their mark is now also the only one in the country on which stickers can be legally pasted.
Located on the westernmost tip of Singapore, Tuas Lamp Post 1 gained fame from the many selfies it appeared in with cyclists, who photograph themselves as proof of having made it there. Some cyclists also paste stickers on it to commemorate their journeys.
