The construction work of the East Coast Rail Link is in full swing. The tunnel site team managed to achieve the breakthrough ahead of schedule despite major challenges including work suspensions and strict containment measures against the COVID-19 pandemic.
PAKA, Malaysia, April 10 (Xinhua) The East Coast Rail Link (ECRL), Malaysia s mega rail project jointly constructed with China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), saw on Friday the first tunnel breakthrough in Terengganu state.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 5 In a rebuttal to Transport Minister Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong’s claims that Malaysia was bypassed in several undersea cable projects because it lacked the proper infrastructure, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) chairman Datuk Rais Hussin Mohamed Ariff has asked the minister to better verify his statements.
“Dr Wee said the data centre was built in Singapore because Malaysia lacked the appropriate data centre infrastructure.
