NHS Ayrshire: Drivers could be fined for wrong use of disabled parking bays

Drivers could be fined for improper use of disabled parking bays at Ayrshire hospitals due to a new Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) coming into effect from May 1. Drivers who use the bays inappropriately in NHS Ayrshire & Arran car parks will soon be liable for a Penalty Charge Notice thanks to the introduction. Last week, North Somerset Council announced plans to introduce a new Traffic Regulation Order on rural roads between Nailsea, Backwell, Clevedon and Yatton. The authority wants to make the roads safer by stopping HGVs and through traffic from using the country lanes, while maintaining normal use for local residents, improving access for businesses and tourists and protecting the environment.
