Thus, Outsider was amused to see Bragg working alongside former Transport Workers Union national secretary and now NSW Labor Senator, Tony Sheldon during the recent hearings of the Senate Economics Legislation Committee and the questioning of the FSC’s deputy chief executive, Blake Briggs.
With Bragg sitting in as acting chair of the committee, Sheldon did not miss his opportunity to nail his colours to the mast in the following exchange:
Senator Sheldon: I’ll make it a good one. This is for Senator Bragg, but my introduction will be that I was a member of TWUSuper. I’m still in TWUSuper, of which Senator Bragg is well aware.

NYPD Accuses MTA Of “Fear Mongering” Over Current Level Of Subway Crime

The MTA worries that the threat of harassment, the presence of mentally ill and homeless people, and the perception that the subway is dangerous is keeping customers from returning to the system in greater numbers as the city’s COVID-19 outbreak continues to gradually diminish. The NYPD, however, believes the subways have never been safer.
They’re both right, depending on how you look at it.
Major felony crimes in the subway are down 53% this year compared to last year, according to the NYPD. There were however nine more felony assaults, for a total of 119 so far this year, compared to 110 during the same time period last year, the NYPD says. And the perception of riders, that crime remains a persistent problem, is not captured in police crime statistics.

Guilty.
Guilty.
Derrick Chauvin murdered
George Floyd, the hammer of justice sounded loudly on all three counts he faced.
The video of Chauvin’s neck on Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes was damning enough. There was more, though. Throughout the ordeal, the smug, superior expression on Chauvin’s face told volumes about the disregard he had for Floyd’s life.
Guilty. Guilty. Guilty. Image via AP.
This wasn’t a routine arrest over Floyd’s passing of a counterfeit $20 bill. Chauvin’s action that day was racism at its diabolical worst.

Police released images of a woman who they say punched a bus driver in the face not once but twice. The incident happened last month in Greenwich Village near Sixth Avenue and 14th Street.
