Five second-hand C-130Hs will be supplied to Poland by mid-2024.
Five surplus ex-USAF Lockheed Martin C-130H Hercules transport aircraft are being provided to Poland under the Excess Defense Articles (EDA) programme, Polish Minister of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak confirmed on 14 April.
The aircraft will be delivered to the 33rd Transport Aviation Base at Powidz. All five C-130Hs should be in place by mid-2024.
The EDA deal (first announced in 2019) is valued at $14.3 million for aircraft modification and retrofit work. Poland obtained a loan under the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) programme.
