Doha: The General Directorate of Traffic of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has doubled its efforts to ensure smooth traffic during the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holidays.
Traffic patrols will be enhanced on commercial streets, areas around shopping malls, Eid prayer grounds and mosques, and slaughterhouses among others.

Ras Al Khaimah Police have revealed an uptick in motorbike accidents, thanks to a surge in demand for delivery services since the beginning of the pandemic.
According to a report in Emarat Al Youm, Ras Al Khaimah Police said that the emirate recorded the death of one motorcycle rider during the first quarter of this year.

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Wednesday, Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller spoke with WKZO regarding reckless driving figures.
“It’s not just in our county, it’s across the state of Michigan,” Fuller said. “We know that from 2019 to 2020, there was a sad increase of an 11 percent in fatalities. Fatal accidents across the state went up by 11 percent, when we know there were fewer drivers on the road for many months. So that’s a real problem.”
Fuller says that in many cases, distracted and reckless driving are a factor in these crashes.
