Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, for the South Rock Creek C-32 School Bond. Pottawatomie County Election Board Secretary, Patricia Carter, offers these important tips to voters especially those who will be casting a ballot for the first time.
VOTING TIPS
• Mark your ballot using the example posted at your polling place and inside your ballot booth. If you make a mistake, do not try to correct it. Instead, take your ballot to the precinct officials. They will destroy the ballot and issue a new one.
Absentee ballots deadline for Maud school bond election is Feb. 5
Pottawatomie County Election Board
Friday, Feb. 5 is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the Maud School District I-117 School Bond election on March 2, Pottawatomie County Election Board Secretary Jeannie Stover said.
Stover said that persons who are United States citizens, residents of Oklahoma, and at least 18 years old may apply to become registered voters.
Those who aren’t registered or need to change their registration may apply by filling out and mailing an Oklahoma Voter Registration Application form in time for it to be postmarked no later than midnight Friday, Feb. 5.
