Set to run until 2024, the agreement sees Kalafhi Medical Center become the official healthcare provider for all karate national teams. Breaking down the arrangement’s finer details, BOKA President Tshepo Bathai told Voice Sport, “All athletes, coaches, and team managers are going to be covered. “Medical doctors will be present at all training of the national team and the medical team doctor will accompany the team during both domestic and international camps.”

Anti-doping Bill on the cards | Sunday Standard

24th January 2021 Botswana is preparing legislation on anti-doping in line with international best practice. The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development, through consultations with affiliated stakeholders such as World Anti-Doping Agency, Regional Anti-Doping Organization (RADO), Attorney General’s chambers, Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) and Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) are working on a bill of a National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO).  This was revealed by NADO Anti-doping officer, Ntebogang Khubamang. Khubamang said there is no definite timeline for NADO to be fully setup in the Botswana since setting up a NADO is a process that takes time due to matters arising from compliance issues. She added: “NADO is an independent organisation, funded by the local government. Despite funding from government, it is an autonomy body that independently does its business without interference from government.

BNSC to reveal the new CEO soon ⋆ TheVoiceBW

Game Mothibi Botswana National Sports Commission (BNSC) will soon have a new Chief Executive Officer following the departure of Falcon Sedimo whose contract was not renewed in September. According to the BNSC Chairman Marumo Marule, the engaged Recruitment Agency has already submitted a name, and what is left is for the sports commission to send the name to the Minister of Sport. Four candidates including the current ActiNG CEO Tuelo Serufho, Game Mothibi, Steven Botlhasitse and Styles Ntshinogang were interviewed for the top post last month. Speaking to the Voice Sport BNSC Chairman Marumo Morule confirmed that the agency gave them a name, they did their evaluation and assessment and they are fine with it. He said they are yet to submit the name to Minister Mcdonald Rakgare before he can present it to the cabinet.
