The Sushant Singh Rajput case shook the industry. Post the actor’s demise a number of names featured in the investigation carried out by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Now, moths later the NCB led by chief Sameer Wankhede will be filing its chargsheet in the Sushant Singh Rajput drugs case on Friday the hard copy of which is said to be over 12,000 pages long while the digital copy is around 50,000 pages.
Reports state, that a total of 33 people have been named in the chargsheer, which includes names of several drug peddlers and other accused individuals who were involved in the case. While most of the accused mentioned in the chargsheet were arrested by the NCB during its probe, names of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty who were also arrested earlier feature in the chargesheet

Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday filed a voluminous, 61,700-plus page charge sheet, with annexures against 33 persons, including Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, in the drugs case related to the death of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Of this,11,700 pages were in physical form and over 50,000 were digital. The agency said that out of ecological concerns, it was filing a large portion of the annexures in soft form.
Of the 33 accused, only eight remain in judicial custody, with the others having been granted bail at different points. NCB Special Public Prosecutor Atul Sarpande said that presently, the chargesheet included the statements of 161 witnesses and the agency had mentioned that more witnesses might be included later with the courtâs permission as investigation progressed. A history sheeter who majorly operated in the Thane-Kalyan belt has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in possession of 412 grams of Mephedrone regarded as a commercial quantity.
The NCB arrested one Wasi Ahmad Ansari alias Chotu after conducting searches during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. The arrest of Ansari took place based on the investigation of Chinku Pathan, relative of mafia don Karim Lala, in a drug case. âWasi has been a major peddler in Kalyan and Thane areas and has been linked with the Pathan case,â said a senior NCB officer. Based on information, Wasi was intercepted during midnight at Shilfata Chowk in Kalyan.

Mumbai: In it s crackdown against drug peddlers, the Mumbai zonal unit of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested two persons with contraband substances on Saturday. The two are identified as Ibrahim Mujawar alias Ibrahim Kaskar and Asif Rajkotwala.
Acting on a specific information, NCB officials nabbed Mujawar from Jogeshwari on Saturday. 100 grams of MD has been recovered from him. Mujawar is a notorious MD trafficker, said NCB officials. The police have also seized his Mercedes car. Mujawar used to peddle and distribute drugs to his high profile customers using the car, said official.
