Indian security officials believe the interception of a Sri Lankan boat carrying 300 kilograms of heroin, five AK-47 guns and ammunition off the coast of Vizhinjam in Kerala in South India on March 25 points to a network of narco-terrorism with strong links to a group in Sri Lanka. The Indian officials told the Media the network of narco-terrorism has created sleeper cells in Sri Lanka and other neighbouring countries, and exports drugs to foment trouble. They added that the drug income is then used to fund illegal activities, including extremist activities.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 9 (ANI): The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested four drug peddlers after conducting raids at several locations in Mumbai on Thursday night.
According to NCB sources, the agency recovered drugs from the possession of the arrested persons. Further details are awaited.
The NCB has intensified its vigilance across Mumbai and suburbs to curb the drug menace. The agency has been conducting a series of raids and has made many arrests in the last few months. (ANI)

MUMBAI: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Thursday arrested six persons in separate operations in Mumbai and seized a total 123 blots of LSD (commercial quantity), 30 gram curated marijuana (buds), Mephedrone and hashish in small quantities.
In the first operation, on the basis of information, the NCB seized 70 blots of LSD, 30 gram curated marijuana (buds) and charas and intercepted Zaid Rana and Sonu Faiz at Oshiwara, Mumbai.
The operations were led by zonal director Sameer Wankhede. During the investigation, NCB arrested one more person Shubham Savardekar aka Thapa along with a small quantity hashish in Andheri.
In another operation, the NCB seized 53 blots of LSD (commercial quantity) 10.2 grams Mephedrone and intercepted three persons; Ravi Waghela, Harshad Waghela and Sharad Pargi at Manvel Pada Road in Virar (E).

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 10 (ANI): The Narcotics Control Bureau s Mumbai Branch registered two cases against the drug mafias in the city and seized 30 grams of drugs from them.
NCBMumbai in its continuous fight against Drug Suppliers and Peddlers in Mumbai, launched three operations in various places of Mumbai and registered two cases in a short duration of 12 hours on Thursday.
In these operations, NCBMumbai intercepted 6 persons at various locations and seized a total of 123 blots of LSD (Commercial Quantity), 30 gram curated Marijuana (buds), Mephedrone and Hashish in small quantity on Thursday. Interrogation of the said cases is going on.
