Teens Injured in Benton County Wreck
Two teens were injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred in Benton County Monday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2008 Honda Civic, driven by 19-year-old Tarique T. Maxwell of Kansas City, was on Missouri 7 and ran the stop sign at Highway 65 at 9 p.m.
The vehicle became airborne, striking a stop sign, then returned to the roadway, striking a telephone pole before coming to rest, facing northbound.
Maxwell suffered moderate injuries, while his passenger, a 16-year-old female from Blue Springs, suffered minor injuries. Maxwell was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Four Injured in Benton County Crash
A Harrisonville man suffered serious injuries, while three other suffered minor injuries, in a three-vehicle wreck that occurred Wednesday in Benton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound Chevy Mtro, driven by 32-year-old Dustin A. Reid of Harrisonville, was on C Highway, east of Kesemen Drive, just before 6 p.m, when he passed an eastbound Dodge 2500, driven by 30-year-old Jasper Glenn of Warsaw, on a hill, and struck a westbound Dodge 1500, driven by 55-year-old Leman L. Paul of Ionia.
The Chevy and the Dodge 2500 traveled off the right side of the roadway.
