You may not know Arnold, but you certainly know his legacy. The year was 1926 when little Arnold started developing a love of technology that would eventually have a profound effect on our culture. Arnoldâs intellectual pursuits were interrupted in 1942 when he joined the military just after the attack on Pearl Harbor. During the war, Arnold displayed a penchant for building radio transmitters which eventually led to designing new antennas that revolutionized military communications.
