Weyburn’s Tenille Arts took home three 2020 Saskatchewan Music Awards this weekend.
Arts won Country Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, with her song “Somebody Like That” which reached #9 in Canada on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Arts also won Album of the Year with “Love, Heartbreak, & Everything in Between”.
The show was held online Sunday evening, and themed around ‘retro communication formats,’ with references to Windows 98, AOL chats, MySpace, and more, acknowledging the virtual communication that has become a part of our daily life during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially for artists and the music industry who have turned to livestreamed concerts, online conferences, and video co-writing as ways to stay creative and connected.
5 NYC Art Shows Alexander Hankin Can t Wait To Visit This Spring
by Alexander Hankin · January 21, 2021
With everything going on in the world, art has become my escape. Luckily for all of us museums, galleries and institutions have reopened and we can now see art again in person!
Supporting the arts is very important to me, as I hope is evident from my work as a member of the MAD s Board of Trustees and Co-Chair of the MAD Luminaries, and as a member of the Whitney Contemporaries Executive Committee, The Serpentine Future Contemporaries Committee, and more. Despite the chaos everywhere, art is thriving, and lots of new, innovative, exciting exhibitions are taking place that you absolutely cannot miss.
A Year In Style
2020 might have kicked off its start by decking out at the Red Carpet, but COVID-19 soon hit, and face masks and sweatpants reigned. Thankfully, the year is now over, and we welcome 2021 with open arms and hope, but here’s a look back at all the iconic style moments of 2020…
Jennifer Anniston stunned us in white at the SAG awards, whilst Scarlett Johansson and Janell Monae had a shiny moment, and Cynthia Erivo rocked a 3-million-dollar necklace at the Golden Globes.
As the battle against COVID-19 struck…The need for face masks did too. Christian Siriano was one of the first few designers to start producing protective face masks.
