Portsmouth Detectives search for man, woman involved in BP gas station robbery

PORTSMOUTH, Va. â Portsmouth Detectives are investigating a robbery at a local BP Gas Station.
Officials say on April 30, officers responded to the BP Gas Station located at 4113 George Washington Highway.
Detectives say two unknown suspects entered the gas station and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

PORTSMOUTH, Va. â Portsmouth Detectives have identified and located a robbery suspect.
On May 1 around 3:18 p.m., officials received a call about a robbery at Gold Mine, located at 2012-B Victory Boulevard. Detectives were able to acquire several photos of the suspect.
On May 7, police received an anonymous 911 call in reference to the location of Melvin Tyrone Edwards. The caller said that Edwards was the unknown suspect in the Gold Mine robbery.
Officers apprehended Edwards, brought him in for questioning, and charged him for the robbery.

PORTSMOUTH, Va. â Portsmouth detectives are investigating a homicide in the Churchland area near the 4400 block of Hatton Point.
Detectives provided an update on the investigation Wednesday.
They say they were investigating an incident where an 18-year-old male suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, near High Street around 2:41 a.m. on Tuesday
While investigating, a second victim was discovered near the 4400 block of Hatton Point, around 7:11 a.m. The victim was a 16-year-old male who had been fatally shot. Detectives say they have informed the teen s family.
When a News 3 photographer arrived on scene around 3:20 p.m., neighbors told us the scene had been cleaned up for hours.
