Motorcyclist dies during illegal street race April 19 2021
Police were told that 350 people were in the North Portland area at the time of the fatal crash.
A motorcyclist was killed in a crash during an illegal street racing event early Monday.
The name of the vicvtim was not immediately released.
According to police, at about 12:20 a.m. April 19, North Precinct officers responded to the report of a crash in the 6200 block of North Marine Drive.
When the officers arrived, they found that a motorcycle rider had crashed into another vehicle. The motorcyclist died at the scene.
It was reported to police that there were approximately 350 people in the area for an illegal street racing event taking place at the time.

Police identify pedestrian killed in early Saturday crash February 07 2021
UPDATE: Police blame poor visibility for the Feb. 6 crash and said the driver showed no signs of being impaired.
A pedestrian was killed early Saturday, Feb. 6, in a crash that closed down Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard south of the Ross Island Bridge.
The victim has been identified as Joshua Gray Stanley, 34, of Portland. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. There were no citations or charges.
Police blamed poor visibility for the crash. The investigation determined that the car, a 2015 Toyota Corolla, driven by an adult female, was proceeding southbound McLoughlin Boulevard when the pedestrian, an adult male, was likely crossing to the west side of the road when he was struck, the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement Saturday. The location was not a crosswalk and not well lit. The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing.

The name of the victim was not immediately released.
According to police, officers reported to the scene near Southeast Stark Street and Southeast 136th Avenue around 6:52 p.m. on Feb. 6 and found the deceased pedestrian with the suspect vehicle nowhere in sight.
The Portland Police Bureau s Major Crash Team responded to conduct the investigation. Anyone with more information is asked to call 503-823-3333, or 911 if it s time-sensitive information about the location of the suspect. The case number is 21-34282.
