CBP modifications to expand SENTRI-only hours at Gateway to the Americas Bridge

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations Laredo Port of Entry is planning to implement facilitation measures to assist the traveling public with their experience while utilizing SENTRI lanes as a method of travel. As one of its measures, CBP is announcing modifications to expand its SENTRI-only vehicular traffic processing window at the Gateway to the Americas International Bridge.
“In an effort to provide more flexibility and service to our SENTRI program members, we are expanding our SENTRI-only vehicular traffic hours of operation at the Gateway to the Americas Bridge,” said acting Port Director Eugene Crawford, Laredo Port of Entry.
Laredo CBP Officers Seize Marijuana Worth Over $1 Million

LAREDO - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO) officers at the World Trade Bridge seized marijuana valued over $1 million in one enforcement action over the weekend.
“Officers at the World Trade Bridge have heightened their enforcement strategies when targeting these high-risk commodities, successfully disrupting the flow of illegal narcotics and preventing them from reaching our communities,” said Acting Port Director Eugene Crawford, Laredo Port of Entry.
The enforcement action occurred on Saturday, February 13th at the World Trade Bridge when CBP officers assigned to the cargo facility encountered a tractor hauling auto parts arriving from Mexico. Texas Border Agents Seize $1.6 Million Worth of Drugs Smuggled in Toilet Paper, Cabinets

Authorities have seized nearly 200 pounds of drugs valued at more than $1.6 million following three separate searches at the Laredo Port of Entry in Texas.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Office of Field Operations (OFO) officers carried out three unrelated seizures last week, two of which occurred in the same day.
On Tuesday, January 26, CBP officers assigned to the cargo facility encountered a tractor hauling a shipment of toilet paper arriving from Mexico. After the tractor was referred to a canine and non-intrusive imaging system inspection, 43 packages containing 113.89 pounds of cocaine were found in the trailer.
The alleged drugs - estimated to have a street value of $1.6 million - were found in three separate shipments coming in from Mexico: vinyl samples, kitchen cabinets and toilet paper.
