Pulse Polio Immunisation campaign launched in K taka, to cover 6.4 lakh kids ANI | Updated: Jan 31, 2021 14:24 IST Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], January 31 (ANI): Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Sunday launched a Pulse Polio Immunisation (PPI) programme, under which pulse polio drops will be administered to over 6 lakh kids below the age of 5 from January 31 to February 3. Launched the Pulse Polio 2021 immunisation campaign and administered Polio drops to children. I urge all parents to ensure their children up to 5 years are given polio drops without fail, tweeted Yediyurappa after launching the programme at his residence s office. The launch comes as Polio National Immunisation Day, popularly known as Polio Ravivar, is being observed across the country today.

Adityanath administers polio doses to children at immunisation programme launch in UP ANI | Updated: Jan 31, 2021 13:29 IST Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 31 (ANI): At the launch of the Polio National Immunization Day at Veerangana Avanti Bai Women s Hospital in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday administered polio doses to children. According to a tweet by the UP CM Office, pulse polio drops will be administered to over 3.40 crore kids in UP below the age of five from today, for which 1.1 lakh booths have been set up in the state. 1.1 lakh booths have been set up in the state to provide polio drops to 3.40 crore children from 0-5 years of age. Not only this, 59,000 teams of Asha workers and Anganwadi workers will contribute to providing door-to-door polio drops available for children: UP CM@myogiadityanath (roughly translated from Hindi), tweeted the CM s office.

AP Governor To Launch Pulse Polio Programme On Sunday

Jan 30, 2021, 18:01 IST Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan will launch the Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme in the state on Sunday at Raj Bhavan premises in Vijayawada. As per an official release the Governor will administer polio drops to children below the age of five years, as per an official press release. Nearly 53 lakh children in the age group of 0 - 5 years will be targeted in the immunisation drive across the State of AP.  The vaccination programme that is to begin tomorrow will run for three days and come to an end on February 2. According to media reports, the COVID-19 vaccination drive may be put on hold for the three days of the polio immunisation programme.
