Alton Mayor Brant Walker has officially announced his bid for re-election. Mayor Walker is seeking a third term in office, having originally won the seat as a write-in candidate in the 2013 election.
He tells The Big Z much has been accomplished during his tenure, and there’s still more to do.

Walker says there will be time to campaign later, but he is currently laser focused on combatting the COVID-19 pandemic. Former Alton Police Officer, and local pastor, David Goins is the only other candidate for the office to officially announce. The deadline to file nominating petitions is next Monday, December 21.
