The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday filed a plea before a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court seeking that the NIA that is probing the Antilia security scare and Mansukh Hiran murder cases hand over certain documents related to these cases.
The CBI sought that an order be passed to this effect. The court has directed the NIA to file a reply on this plea of the CBI on Friday. A source said that the documents were sought as the CBI needed to question Vaze.

A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) judge on Friday pulled up suspended Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vazeâs lawyer for the controversial handwritten letter by Vaze addressed to the court in which he had made extortion allegations on top ministers of the state Maha Vikas Aghadi government, photos of which had gone viral.
Judge Prashant R Sitre questioned Vazeâs counsel Aabad Ponda why they could not follow proper procedure under the CrPC. âI didnât tell you donât give it. I have said every time to give in proper format. Why didnât you do it,â the court asked. It warned them, âNext time this should not happen.â

Mumbai, April 8 : A new trend of letter-writing by accused in jails has started in Maharashtra which is a political conspiracy intended to defame and destabilize the Maha Vikas Agadhi government, Shiv Sena MP and Chief Spokesperson Sanjay Raut said here on Thursday.
