Updated: 1:42 PM EST Feb 28, 2021 A young woman is dead after she was struck and killed on a Massachusetts highway when she exited her friend s vehicle, according to state police.State police say the Medford Barracks received a report at 12:01 a.m. Sunday of a body on Interstate 93 north in Medford, prior to Exit 32.Responding state police troopers and emergency medical services personnel found the victim, a 22-year-old woman, and pronounced her dead at the scene.Investigators believe that the victim was a passenger in a friend s vehicle that was traveling on I-93 when she exited the vehicle. The victim, who at this point was a pedestrian on the highway, was then struck and killed by a motor vehicle or motor vehicles.State police say they are still trying to find out the description of the vehicle or vehicles that fatally struck the woman.
