TWO TRUCKS were involved in a motorway crash this afternoon. Lancashire Police Tactical Operations officers along with two fire engines from Clitheroe and a major rescue unit from Preston attended the incident at around 1.20pm. There they found there had been a collision between two heavy goods vehicles on Pimlico Link Road/A59 Worston, Clitheroe. Both the trucks had been badly damaged however, and officers are now investigating the circumstances behind the crash. Firefighters used holmatro cutting equipment and a mobile scaffold to rescue one casualty from the vehicle who was treated at the scene by North West Ambulance Service.

Man arrested on University of Kent campus after being chased by police dog at Chatham Dockside

A suspected drug dealer has been arrested after being chased down by a police dog.
The suspect, who is in his 20s and from Medway, was arrested at 1.25am today in North Road, Chatham, which is on the University of Kent campus.

He was arrested after being chased by a police dog through nearby Chatham Dockyard.
Kent Police Tactical Operations said canine cop PD Wilson tracked him down.
He was taken into police custody on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of a bladed article, driving without insurance and failing to stop for police.
