A Hutchinson man accused of trading in child pornography on the internet was found deceased in his home this week, a day before he was scheduled in court on the case.
Jeremy K. Seachris, 41, faced counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a child for trading in child pornography and possessing child pornography involving children under age 14.
Hutchinson Police Detective Scott Carlton previously told The News he was contacted by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in Wichita about trading occurring from Hutchinson on a peer-to-peer network.
After police obtained a search warrant for Seachris’ home on Columbia Drive, investigators seized several computers, phones, and other electronic equipment containing hundreds of images of both male and female children, Carlton said.
