A thief has made off with a Mackay residentâs car only to return to the scene of the crime and bog the vehicle.
Mackay Police District Senior Constable Steve Smith said the car was stolen from a South Mackay home on Absolon St between midnight and 5am on January 5.
âEntry was gained into the home through the back door,â Sen-Const Smith said.
âOnce inside, the offender stole a black Vileda television, a blue ant Bluetooth speaker and keys.
âThe keys were then used to enter a locked 2010 Ford Escape and drive it from the property.
